Then it was the turn of the men.

Alexander Zverev (2) beat American Taylor Fritz (6) in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, 6-2.

On Centre Court, British qualifier Arthur Féry harnessed the home crowd to beat favorite Flavio Cobolli (9) 6-4, 7-6(4), 6-0.
