Wife of Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy shot: Report

Mia Bieniemy, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, was shot Sunday night at the couple’s home in Virginia, ESPN reported Monday morning.
“The club is aware of the incident involving Eric Bieniemy’s family,” the Chiefs said in a statement. “Out of respect for their privacy, we won’t have a comment at this time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.”
Eric Bieniemy was not present at Chiefs training camp practice Monday morning. Coach Andy Reid will speak to reporters after practice to address the situation.
