What Matthew Rhys, More Stars Have Revealed
How Did Widow’s Bay Season One End?
In the season one finale of Widow’s Bay, the storm on the island finally stopped after custodian Kenny (Michael Malvesti) was accidentally sacrificed to the entity. However, the curse on the town continues because the Warren family still has one living descendant, initially believed to be Tom’s assistant Ruth (K Callan).
It’s not until Ruth reveals she had a baby with a married man that Tom realizes that baby grew up to be his late wife, meaning their son Evan (Kingston Rumi Southwick) is really the last living descendant of Richard Warren (Hamish Linklater).
“In my pitch to Apple, I knew that would be [Tom’s] final dilemma,” Dippold revealed to the Television Academy in June. “That after a whole season of Loftis proving that he’s going to do these terrifying things to save this town and try to make right what he’s done by bringing tourists here, I knew I wanted him to have a truly impossible dilemma.”
As season two approaches, Southwick looks forward to whatever lies ahead for his character.
“I’m just excited,” he told E! News. “I’m excited for him and it’s going to be a great season.”
