Last year, we launched The Athletic’s fantasy football Discord server, and this season we’re back for more action. Join today to get free access to our fantasy analysts and contributors all season long.
This server is part of our ongoing efforts to engage more with our audience and get your feedback. You can chat directly with your favorite analysts including Jake Ciely, Andy Behrens, Brandon Funston, Dalton Del Don, KC Joyner and others.
A few things to keep in mind when you join:
The Athletic’s fantasy staff is active in the server, but we also need time to research, create and publish the content that comprises our regular jobs. We will make periodic passes through the server to answer questions and share insights, but we will not be in there 24/7. If you have a question that has not been answered immediately, please just be patient or submit it during one of our regularly scheduled chats.
Though it might change over the course of the season, the weekly schedule is as follows:

Related to the multiple well-known names above, we are not a hive mind. We all have different thoughts and opinions on fantasy topics, so if two people differ on advice offered, this is a feature, not a bug. Ultimately, your roster decisions are yours to make; we’re just here to lend some perspective and insight.
Most importantly, should you join our community, please be civil in all discussions. You can find our Rules and Regulations in the server, but they are also listed below for good measure. We reserve the right to ban violators from the server, but we’re really hoping we don’t have to do that.
Rules and Regulations
- No jerks allowed, and we mean it. This is a hub for fantasy nerds, newcomers, everyone in between to come together with The Athletic’s staff and build a community rooted in respect. Keep in mind that comments should be constructive, instructive, or funny (but “respectful funny,” not mean-spirited). This applies to all aspects of the server. If someone is suspicious or crosses the line, the user will be contacted by an admin.
- The Athletic’s fantasy community is inclusive and welcomes people from any and all walks of life. There will be no tolerance for sexism, racism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, hate speech, or harassment on the channels or through DMs, and those engaging in it will be banned.

- It’s OK to joke around with one another, but keep it good-natured. If you’re here, you probably know Jake Ciely, who loves a good laugh and innocent banter. But trolling with animosity isn’t tolerated. Who determines the difference? Jake Ciely, Brandon Funston and authorized admins and moderators.
- Spamming will not be tolerated, at all.
- Any suggestions, ideas, or comments should be posted in the suggestions channel.
- The owners and admins of this Discord reserve the right to make judgment calls beyond what is explicitly stated in the rules in the interest of the community.
