Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce wedding live updates: Athletes, celebrity guests arrive at Madison Square Garden
It’s gotta be a Taylor Swift song, right? Let’s assume that and then narrow it down to my top options, based on the popularity of the song and the thematic material (not a breakup song!) plus the importance to Taylor lore. I’d do:
“Lover” — Very nice waltzy one.
“Love Story” — Not really a dance song but her most weddingy one.
“Mary’s Song (Oh My My My)” — A deep cut from her catalogue but a wedding song that features the lyric “I’ll be 87, you’ll be 89.” Travis’ number on the Chiefs is 87.
“You Are In Love” — This is a personal fave, co-written by Swift and producer Jack Antonoff, about his romance with Lena Dunham.
The problem with all of these is that she can’t perform while she dances. Or … she CAN … and probably WOULD … but like … really
So, predictions if it’s not a Taylor song:
“Perfect” or “Thinking Out Loud” by her bestie Ed Sheeran.
A Haim sister covers “The Way You Look Tonight” or another wedding classic.
My actual pick (swerving here!): “Landslide” by Stevie Nicks, performed by Stevie Nicks. Nicks is reportedly going to be in the room, and Swift is a huge fan. If we’re going with Easter eggs, Swift wore a “Stevie Knicks” T-shirt to the NBA Finals game … at MSG …
