Paraguay vs Australia live updates: World Cup 2026 game latest news and buildup
Levi’s Stadium — AKA San Francisco Bay Area Stadium
One of the exciting picks (in my opinion) as a World Cup host city is San Francisco — here’s what Jeff Rueter had to say about its inclusion for us back in 2022:
✍️ “San Francisco isn’t known for its soccer history despite hosting World Cup games in 1994 and 1999.
“The Bay Area is a popular tourism destination along the Pacific Ocean and roughly 60 percent of residents are Hispanic, Asian, African American, or Pacific Islander.
“Levi’s Stadium was opened in 2014 to host the NFL’s 49ers. Located in Santa Clara, it can seat 70,000 fans.
“San Jose, located closer to Levi’s, has its own lengthy history in soccer, including generations of Earthquakes teams and a strong grassroots scene.”
