Martine Singer is giving a peek into her family’s life today.
Nine months after her sister Michelle Singer Reiner and brother-in-law Rob Reiner were murdered in their Los Angeles home, she shared how their kids Jake Reiner, 35, and Romy Reiner, 28, are coping.
“Everybody in the family is healing in his or her own way,” Martine told Extra in an interview published Sept. 28. “I’ll never be my sister and I can never be what it is that’s missing in their lives, but I consider them my kids. There’s no daylight between us.”
Still, she emphasized that their lives are now “changed forever.”
“I suppose you healed from a wound, but the scar is there,” she continued. “It’s a really hard thing to describe because it doesn’t—it never goes away.”
Martine also reflected on how special the relationship was between Michele and Rob, who tied the knot in 1989.
