How the third Saturday of the Premier League season unfolded as Haaland scored his 300th career club goal

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery took the positives from a goalless draw at Hull.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Spaniard said his side’s first point of the season represented a step forward.

💬 “It was positive with how we planned and how we played and how we were creative and played to dominate.

“We had some chances to score. We avoided as well some mistakes we made before.

“Overall in 90 minutes, I can feel comfortable how we are progressing, not with the results, but we must try to understand and to accept how we are building the team again.

“We need to be clinical. We had four very good chances to score and of course, if we scored, the match can change.

“And when you are not scoring as well you must be always careful defensively around the transition, around the long balls and second connection and maybe some corners.

“But overall, understanding how we started the season, how we are adding players and trying to get our structure stronger and stronger, it is is one step forward today.”
