Brandi Glanville Sent Home From Special Forces After Injury

Brandi Glanville’s Special Forces journey came to a crashing halt—literally.

Just 14 hours into season five of the intense competition series, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum was medically withdrawn after executing a botched helicopter jump.

While Glanville executed the beginning of the backwards jump cleanly, she entered the water face-first. As she swam back to the dock, she said, “It’s my sternum—I can’t. My sternum is, like, f–king cracked.”

After reaching the waiting crew, one of the Directing Staff told the 53-year-old, “You over-rotated and then smashed yourself. That was a fail,” after which a medic announced, “She’s not gonna go on.”

An announcement from the show’s narrator then confirmed Glanville had been “medically withdrawn” from the series.

Looking back, Glanville says she wasn’t exactly sure where to position her head before making the backwards jump.

“I felt my head crash into the water and I thought that was it—it was like a baseball bat to my head,” she told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published Sept. 25. “And then all of a sudden my full body slams into the water and I’m like, ‘Ugh.’”
