The post positions are in for Saturday’s Belmont Stakes, with Renegade lining up as the favorite at 2-1 odds after Monday’s draw. He and jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. will begin at the No. 4 post.

Chief Wallabee comes into the week one spot behind, running from post No. 3 at 3-1 odds. Golden Tempo will be at the No. 9 post, with odds at 9-2. Then come Commondant (post No. 7) and Emerging Market (post No. 8), each at 6-1 odds.

Golden Tempo, this year’s long-shot Kentucky Derby winner, skipped the Preakness for extra recovery time ahead of the Belmont. A win would give Golden Tempo and trainer Cherie DeVaux 2/3 of the Triple Crown. No horse has completed the Triple Crown since Justify in 2018.

The Belmont is scheduled for approximately 7:04 p.m. ET on Saturday at the Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. This is the third and final time Saratoga Race Course will host the race due to renovations at Belmont Park, which are scheduled to wrap in the fall. At 1 1/8 miles, the track in Saratoga Springs is over a quarter mile shorter than Belmont Park’s.

Napoleon Solo won the Preakness on May 16 after starting at post No. 10, entering as somewhat of a long shot at 8-1 odds the morning of the race. He will not run in the Belmont, aiming for a return at the Haskell Stakes on July 18 after being sold over the weekend. Last year’s Belmont crown went to Sovereignty, who ran from post No. 2 and came in at 2-1 odds.

Coverage of the Belmont Stakes will be on Fox.
