UN top court rules that failure to meet climate goals could lead to reparations

In a landmark ruling the UN’s top court on Wednesday found that countries harmed by climate change could be entitled to reparations for the damage they have suffered. It also said that if countries fail to take measures to protect the planet from climate change, they could be in violation of international law.
