Justin Bieber teases new album ‘SWAG’ with 20 songs

The album, teased to be called “SWAG,” is the first of Bieber’s to be released since 2021.

LOS ANGELES — Justin Bieber spent Thursday afternoon posting to social media teasing a surprise album set to be released very soon.

The seventh album by the musician is set to release Friday and may feature people like Gunna and Sexyy Red as well as Cash Cobain, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Billboards have been popping up around the world, the first in Iceland, while others started going up in Los Angeles and New York’s Times Square this week.

The album, reportedly called “SWAG,” would be the first album from Bieber since 2021.

In one of many Instagram posts made by Bieber Thursday, what appear to be song titles were displayed on an electronic billboard along with black and white photos of Bieber and others.

In the short video, the billboard, atop a black and white photo of Bieber holding a baby over his head, reads “ALL I CAN TAKE, DAISIES, YUKON, HO BABY, THINGS YOU DO, BUTTERFLIES, WAY IT IS, FIRST PLACE, SOULFUL, WALKING AWAY, GLORY VOICE MEMO, DEVOTION, DADZ LOVE, THERAPY SESSION, SWEET SPOT, 405, SWAG, ZUMA HOUSE, TOO LONG, FORGIVENESS.”

If the album is released with the 20 songs possibly listed above, it will be Bieber’s most jam packed non-deluxe album to date.

Kid Laroi posted to his Instagram story encouraging people to listen to the album writing, “if you don’t listen to this album when it drops, we can’t be friends. Sorry, I don’t make the rules” over a black album cover with “SWAG” written above a parental advisory, explicit content warning on the corner.

Cole Bennett, an American music video director and record executive, posted the same image to his story, writing “It’s almost here. Best (Bieber) album yet. I have no works, I really don’t. Actually, I do, but there’s too many.”
