Elon Musk offered Ashley St. Clair US$15 million to keep newborn son a secret: report
Elon Musk offered influencer Ashley St. Clair US$15 million and monthly payments of US$100,000 to keep their newborn child a secret, according to a new report.
A DNA test confirmed the Tesla owner’s “probability of paternity” is 99.9999 per cent according to The Wall Street Journal. The report also revealed Musk’s son with St. Clair is named Romulus, but the tech giant’s last name is not on the birth certificate.
Musk has not directly commented on the reports about his newborn son, but he did however share a post on social media expressing his displeasure for The Wall Street Journal writing, “TMZ >> WSJ”.
Musk reportedly told St. Clair that he is “#2 after Trump for assassination” in text messages seen by the outlet, noting this as the reason he found it too dangerous to make the baby news public. He added that “only the paranoid survive”.
According to the report, St. Clair declined the US$15 million package offer, saying that it would make her son feel “illegitimate”. The 26-year-old influencer also noted the agreement did not provide the child with a trust fund in case Musk were to become ill or die.
