‘All-in’ ticket pricing launched at Blumenthal Arts | Charlotte, N.C. news
It promises to be more transparent for patrons buying tickets to performances and events.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — If you’re planning on catching a show or attending an event hosted by Blumenthal Arts soon, you’ll soon see some different price points when you buy a ticket online.
On Friday, the nonprofit announced its “all-in” ticket pricing initiative, which it says offers more price transparency. That means full prices, including fees and the base ticket cost, will be listed upfront.
Blumenthal Arts notes patrons may start seeing prices that look unfamiliar for them, such as advertising for tickets that may “start at $29.38” as an example.
“Transparency is important,” said Blumenthal Arts President and CEO Tom Gabbard. “With all-in ticket pricing, we won’t be rounding up any numbers, and there won’t be any surprise fees added to the end of the checkout process. You’ll receive the best tickets at the best prices and know exactly how much you’ll pay from the start, making it easier to plan and budget for the shows you love.”
The nonprofit notes Blumenthal Arts is the official seller of tickets for all performances at its venues. Ticket buyers who purchase from a ticket broker or any third party may pay more than face value for tickets, may buy tickets for seats that don’t exist and can’t be contacted with crucial show information like time changes or construction alerts. Tickets also can’t be replaced if lost or stolen if purchased from anyone that isn’t Blumenthal Arts.
