It’s Caitlin Clark vs. Paige Bueckers as WNBA All-Star rosters are set
It’ll be Paige Bueckers vs. Caitlin Clark in the 2026 WNBA All-Star game, as the two leading fan vote-getters headline their teams for the midseason showcase.
WNBA legends Cynthia Cooper and Teresa Weatherspoon were the honorary general managers for Bueckers’ and Clark’s teams, respectively, in Wednesday’s All-Star draft. Weatherspoon had the first selection among the eight remaining starters and chose four-time MVP A’ja Wilson to build out a roster around Clark. Cooper picked first among the reserves and selected Angel Reese.
Becky Hammon, of the Las Vegas Aces, is the Team Coop (Bueckers) head coach and Cheryl Reeve, of the Minnesota Lynx, will coach Team Spoon (Clark).
Here are the full rosters for the 2026 All-Star Game, which will be held in Chicago on Saturday, July 25.

It’s UConn vs. South Carolina
Notre Dame has the most players in the 2026 All-Star Game — four, and potentially five, if you count Olivia Miles — but they’re split up between Team Coop and Team Spoon. However, the best rivalry in college basketball will make its way to the WNBA stage.
All three UConn alums (Bueckers, Breanna Stewart and Gabby Williams) in the All-Star Game will suit up together against all three South Carolina alums (Wilson, Aliyah Boston and Allisha Gray). Bueckers, Stewart and Wilson are all separated from their WNBA teammates on the rosters but will get to reunite with the Huskies and Gamecocks.
Teammates separated
In prior seasons, when players served as captains, they worked hard to unite all of their teammates on the same All-Star squad. The honorary GMs had no such strategy.
No WNBA team with multiple All-Stars has all of its players on the same team. The only teams with clear rooting interests are the ones with a lone representative, including the Golden State Valkyries, Seattle Storm and Toronto Tempo.
The four first-time All-Stars (Miles, Jessica Shepard, Dominique Malonga and Marina Mabrey) are also evenly separated between the two teams.
What matchups are we looking forward to?
Bueckers vs. Clark is the headliner, but Wilson vs. Stewart is always a delight if the players are actually trying. It’ll also be fun to watch Stewart go at her New York Liberty teammate Jonquel Jones.
Wilson is used to playing with a flashy point guard in Chelsea Gray, so Miles should enjoy putting on a show with the four-time MVP. Team Spoon went heavy on the bigs, and Team Cooper seems to have more players who can get hot in a hurry. Bueckers’ squad appears to be the early favorite.
