Keke Palmer Reacts to The Voice: Celebrity Hosting Job

Keke Palmer is ready to bring a little sweetness to The Voice: Celebrity. 

After it was announced the Nope star would be hosting the competition series’ newest spinoff, which will see an all-celebrity cast compete for judges Joe Jonas, Queen Latifah and Riley Green, Palmer revealed what she’s most ready for in her new role. 

“I’m so excited,” she gushed to E! News at the Keke Palmer Empower Hour with Fabletics on Aug. 5. “I’m excited about the fact that this season is about celebrities and people that don’t do what they’re coming here to do.”

After all, the 32-year-old knows a thing or two about setting trends with some new best friends. 

“I’m somebody that always believes in doing something new, trying on a different hat,” Palmer added. “Why not explore and challenging yourself? So, I’m very honored that they asked me to be the host of this particular season, because it’s what I believe in.”

The True Jackson VP also thinks the new format—which sees her picking up the mic from flagship show host Carson Daly—will resonate with viewers.
