MLS’ Son Heung-min Details Private Life Amid Soccer Career

Son Heung-min is avoiding crowds off the pitch.

Although the Los Angeles FC forward is among the most recognizable players in Major League Soccer—also serving as South Korea’s captain playing in the World Cup 2026 —he admitted it’s easy for him to keep a low profile in Hollywood.

“Just be myself,” Son explained to E! News’ The Rundown host Erin Lim Rhodes in an exclusive interview during the 2026 MLS All-Star Game. “I don’t do much crazy things. Most of the times I’m at home. People don’t see me.”

Indeed, while the 34-year-old—who played in the All Star game, presented by Chime, alongside Matt Freese, Max Arfsten and more—is among the most famous faces in the league, he maintained, “I have a very quiet life, which is good.”

And it helps that Son lives in a city of stars, too. As he put it, “In Hollywood, I think there are so many pop stars and Hollywood stars, they don’t really care about me.”
