This online economic and financial education newsletter is designed for classroom teachers in middle and high school. Published twice a year, Extra Credit provides informative articles, lesson plans and activities, teaching tips, and a calendar of teaching workshops and events. Articles in the spring 2007 issue focus on the premiere of Katrina’s Classroom: Financial Lessons from a Hurricane, a new DVD and lesson plan package designed to teach middle and high school students the importance of being financially prepared; the winner of the Lesson Plan of the Year contest; an article discussing the importance of maintaining a good credit history; and an article and activities about the effect of energy on the U.S. economy.
